The Think Tank identifies the critical and systemic needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) through strategic sessions with military leaders, engineers, and developers, scouting breakthrough asymmetrical solutions with strong global potential.

The MITS Lab systematically discovers Ukrainian defense startups, accelerating and transforming early‑stage ideas into scalable, globally relevant products. We leverage shared resources, technical expertise, and strategic partnerships to help teams evolve from first prototypes to deployable, battlefield‑tested products.

Team selection criteria

We focus on early‑stage defense teams and founders that:

    Have TRL 1‑4 stage product (POC to MVP)

    Deliver high wartime impact and operational asymmetry

  • 03

    Pursue a cost-efficient business model with strong unit economics and scalability

  • 04

    Offer current or near-term applicability for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

    Possesses strong competitive advantages through scientific know‑how, unique IP, or technical innovations
