VERMEER

Vision-based navigation

Vermeer is a U.S.-based vision autonomy company building the systems that make unmanned platforms and weapons more precise, more resilient, and more effective in modern conflict. The company develops autonomy technologies that allow aircraft, missiles, boats, and uncrewed surface vehicles to operate, navigate, and survive in highly contested environments — without dependence on vulnerable external signals.

Vermeer’s work spans aerial and maritime domains. Rather than focusing on a single sensor or modality, Vermeer builds integrated autonomy “brains” that improve mission success, efficiency, and survivability across platforms.

The company’s most recent funding round was led by Draper Associates. As of early 2026 Vermeer has 35 paying customers, including programs across the Pentagon and multiple Tier-1 U.S. drone and defense manufacturers.

While headquartered in the United States, Vermeer’s core team has lived and worked in Kyiv for over two years, allowing the company to rapidly iterate in real operational conditions and gain first-hand insight into the requirements of current and future warfare.
